As you can see I highly prefer to refill. It is cheaper and you get a full tank. But there are a few issues there also.
There are fewer places that refill now, and their hours may be limited.
You may have to wait for the trained employee to become available. Having to wait a bit longer is worth it if you don’t have to come back as often.
There is a little bit of waste when refilling and you pay for that. This comes from two places:
The bleeder valve is opened when filling allowing some gas to escape, and a bit of liquid when full.
When the tank is full there is some liquid in the nozzle that is wasted.
Neither of these amounts to very much. Well under a pound.
